UpRiver Cafe in Lake Luzerne

Fantastic dinner as part of our honeymoon! Delicious mushroom ravoli for me, meatloaf for him. We brought home cheesecake and it was delightfully creamy.

Beautiful view. Friendly staff. Steak salad and wings were delicious.

Our server was delightful. The food was decent but nothing special. The red snapper was a bit overcooked and strong. The chicken in the Cobb salad was old. I had the pastrami sandwich which was very good. The view of the river makes this place a winner.

Great service and a beautiful location. I just wish they would get my food right. 3 out of 4 isn't bad (everyone else in my group's food was perfect), and I'd brush it off if it was just once; but unfortunately this has happened twice. This place is still head and shoulders above anything else in the vicinity.

We had dinner here. It was a great atmosphere and the food was fabulous. The wait staff was also very friendly. Wish we weren't leaving so we could go back again.

This is my favorite restaurant in the north country with no close second. Chef/owner Andy is extremely welcoming and customer service oriented. We were extremely lucky to be served like royalty yesterday by Andy himself, and set up on the outside deck with our own propane heater and view of the river and beginning of falls surrounded by amazing fall foliage. The food and service are always great. Make UpRiver Cafe your destination for an unforgettable experience. The drive up there is spectacularly scenic and UpRiver Cafe makes for a great centerpiece for a lovely country drive day outting.

Contrary to a review left by a woman named Katey, we were a party of 11 and are city people born and raised. The Up River was beyond our expectations. Between all of us we pretty much sampled everything on their menu including their desserts. The Chef and co-owner, Andy, pleasantly came out to see how all 3 of our tables were doing and our server Megan was darling! Food was fresh and delicious!!!! Service was 👌. As for Betsy the Hostess, she suggested a walk to view the waterfall as we were early for our reservation and that by far was the highlight of our trip. To appreciate mother nature, make sure you're seated on the back deck.If we were able to give 10 stars we would!!! Looking forward to our return in late August

Meals as well.as appetizers were nicely varied and.portions allowed for take-home leftovers. Quality food, lovely view of the river and outdoor seating was very quaint. Perfect for all ages.Very accommodating..

They have the best Crab Cakes ever tasted and a great view of the majestic Hudson River and Rockwell Falls.

The mahi-mahi taco felt a little bland, needed a little more seasoning. But everything else was great. Definitely ask to be seated outside. The views are stunning.

Started going to this location when it was "Papa's" before the fire. Those were the good old days. Yes the view is to die for so we have returned a few times. The food is quite ordinary. The prices are a bit higher than they should be. Asked if i could have my side salad be a Caesar. Waitress says yes but they may have to charge a couple dollars extra. I am in the mood so say what the heck. I am brought a dinky pile of lettuce and some croutons with a little Caesar dressing. They then had the audacity to charge us $3 extra. What for? Desserts are overpriced. Not going back again.

Great food in a picturesque location with a terrace that features Hudson River views. Nearby is the location where the sprawling river has its most narrow point in it's running course.

This has been a favorite of mine for year . The food is fresh, with interesting choices. The service is attentive and friendly. Loved the smoked trout. Wonderful views!!The set up is very socially distanced. I felt like they were very much adhering to all guideline . This was a much needed night out. Had a wonderful evening💙

Very good service, they aim to please. The food was plentiful and delicious. I had Corned Beef Panini which was delicious with a small salad.

This is probably the best restaurant in this area of New York. Each entree is a treat but don't sleep on the Fried Green Tomatoes. The view of the river is also a breathtaking way to eat your meal.

Interesting...we have several family members who have eaten there recently giving rave reviews! (They are from San Diego, Denver & DC with sophisticated pallets) We look forward to enjoying dinner there later in the week!

This place is one of the best treasures the Adirondack area has. Can't say enough about it.....food a wonderful variety of choices, prices reasonable and the view is spectacular.

On our way home from Lake George we decided to stop by Lake Luzerne and see Rockwell Falls. UpRiver Cafe has a great location overlooking the river. When we stopped by all the table were full, so we ordered to go and sat outside to wait. The place looked clean, the staff was very friendly, and they even have an ice cream shop up front. We went over by the falls to eat. My pulled pork sandwich was delicious! I will definitely be back next time we come up to the area.

Love this place! Such a pretty spot to eat. The dining porch overlooking the river is so peaceful. The staff are friendly and the food is delish! :)

This place used to be fantastic back when it was Pop's and has gone downhill rapidly. The food is glorified cafeteria food, the service is slow and unpleasant and above all the female owner is not a pleasant person and should not be interacting with clientele. Do not even bother if you have any standards for food or service. The people giving this place high stars must be local and not have city standards. Stay away if you're cosmopolitan.

Took my wife here for our 30 year anniversary and we weren't disappointed, the food was great and atmosphere perfect and there garlic parm apitizer wings are AMAZING. prices are fair and portions are filling , also bacon wrapped meatloaf my wife had was awesome. Service is good and food comes out in a timely manner.

This is a treasure. An amazing dining experience with a stunning view. The food was amazing and reasonable. The staff is incredible, kind, helpful and attentive. The food once again is amazing. I would recommend it for everyone or anyone. Do yourself the favor take the trip out of the way and enjoy. Due to covid they are seating outside but reservations are required. The staff all wore masks, and seating was spaced to respect social distancing. Everytime I have been here it was and has been a joy.
